Please note that you need an internet connection to install EnvisionSCADA. The installer needs to download the necessary windows services. You will also need to be the administrator of the system.
Notice the verified publisher is mentioned ‘SunForest’. This is the correct publisher, don't accept anything else.

Double click the installer icon.

Press Yes in the User Account Control verification.

Reboot at the end of the installation.

After the licence, the Installation Type page offers Default Installation, which installs one instance with the demo project, and Custom Installation, which installs one or more instances, each with its own project, databases, license and web address. See Multiple Instances.

Demo project

Some installations include a demo project. When the installation media contains one, the first start of the application loads it into the new installation, so the system opens with an example project instead of a blank one. When it does not, the first start opens an empty project.

The demo project is loaded only on a machine that has no configuration database yet. Updating an existing installation keeps the project that is already on the machine, and the demo project is not loaded again.

To replace the demo project with an empty project, open the Home navigation, click Project and then New Project. To load your own project instead, use Import Project in the same menu.

The demo project file stays on the server, in the Demo folder of the program folder, C:\Program Files\EnvisionSCADA\<version>\Demo. Creating a new project does not load it again and does not remove it, so it can be loaded back at any time with Import Project by selecting DemoProject.envision in that folder.

In a Custom Installation, the Starts with setting of each new instance chooses its first project: Empty project, Demo project, or an Export Project file.

The demo project contains no credentials. The AI, Git and mail settings are empty, and it carries no license. Sign in with the Admin account and the password Admin, then change the password before putting the system into service.
