First Login

EnvisionSCADA is installed with two default accounts, one administrator and one operator. Use the administrator account to sign in for the first time, then change both passwords before putting the system into service.

Default credentials

On a fresh installation, EnvisionSCADA creates two accounts. Admin is in the Administrators group and can reach the whole Configuration area. Operator is in the Operators group and is meant for day to day runtime use. Both start on the Overview page.

Open a browser and navigate to the EnvisionSCADA address, for example http://localhost or http://192.168.1.10. The login page appears. Enter the username and password and click Sign in.

After a successful login, the system navigates to the Overview page. The Configuration area is accessible from the top navigation bar.

Change both default passwords before putting the system into service. The default credentials are publicly known, and this applies to the Operator account just as much as to Admin. Open Configuration, go to Users, click the Password cell of each row, and set a strong password. Delete the Operator account if the project does not use it.

Installations that start with a demo project

Some installations start with a demo project already loaded. In that case the accounts are the ones defined in the demo project, and the table above does not necessarily describe them. The Admin account is always present and always uses the password Admin, so the first login is the same.

The demo project is loaded only on a new installation. To continue with an empty project, open the Home navigation, click Project and then New Project. The two default accounts above are created again, and the demo project is not loaded a second time. The demo project file stays in the Demo folder of the installation folder and can be loaded back with Import Project.

Change the passwords of every account that came with the demo project before putting the system into service. Open Configuration, go to Users, and set a strong password on each row. Delete the accounts the project does not use.
