Configuration Menu

How the configuration navigation is organized and how to reach the configuration pages from the Envision editor and from the configuration pages themselves.

The configuration pages are reached through one navigation tree that is shown in two places. In the Envision editor it is the Home navigation of the left menu, underneath the project name. On every configuration page it is the configuration side menu, opened with the menu button at the top left of the page or with the shortcut Ctrl+Q, and closed again with the Close button, the Escape key, or a click next to the menu.

Both places render the same tree, so an entry appears in both with the same icon and in the same position. The tree is organized in sections that open and close with a click on their header. A section or group that is open shows a chevron pointing down, a closed one a chevron pointing right.

The width of the configuration side menu can be changed by dragging its right edge. The chosen width is remembered by the browser; a double-click on the edge restores the default width.

Sections

The Project section is only available in the Envision editor. The other sections are identical in the Home navigation and in the configuration side menu.

Devices group

The protocol entries of the Configuration section are grouped under Devices, so the section stays short when no device configuration is needed. Open the group to reach the device and variable pages of each protocol.

An entry marked BETA is a driver that is released for evaluation and has not yet been confirmed against real hardware. The DNP3 entry is only shown on Windows installations, because the DNP3 driver is not available in the Docker deployment.
